Upon googling myself today (oh, you know you do it too!), I found that I placed in the top 20 for 2008 Best of Engagements by Modern Photographers! I entered some images and didn't think anything of it until now! Guess I'm a little out of the loop on the contests. There is some inspiring imagery up there, and I'm honored to be part of the group. Here is the winning image... none other than Sam + Pete! You can see the rest of their e session here.

I love your portraits of the bride, they are beautiful. But my favorite shot is of the couple under the tree kissing, great composition!

I just realized I've never posted highlights or the slideshow from Sam and Pete's wedding this past fall. With wedding season kicking into full gear shortly, I thought I'd better get my butt in gear! Sam and Pete got married at the Historic Waynesborough in Paoli, PA. It started and ended as a rainy day, but we lucked out with some beautiful weather long enough for pictures and an outdoor ceremony! Sam was a total trooper going anywhere I wanted in the wet grass - before the ceremony! Don't worry, we didn't dirty her dress. Always up for anything I envisioned, they were truly a wonderful couple to work with.

Love your fine art work! You have a way of capturing such an ordinary thing and turning it into art! :)

I really didn't pick up my camera much over vacation. Really just enjoyed our downtime and riding in some decent conditions. I didn't take the camera out at all on the mountain this year. Instead, I just photographed a few random things around the house while Zach built his very own jump. Unfortunately, I didn't come prepared for night shooting, but I managed to grab a few frames of Zach spinning off his jump with the help of some ambient light from the house. They are ridiculously noisy, but at least I was happy to be able to get any images at all with how dark it was. I'm off back to the northeast for a wedding, be back next week!

I am out of the office once again for our annual snowboard trip to Saddleback in Maine. This looks to be a much better trip than our Presidents day weekend trip to Sunday River. Unfortunately, we had some windy and icy conditions for that trip and really didn't have a great time riding. I still have the bruises on my behind to prove it! Saddleback got 20 inches or so early this week, so we have a good chance of having some great conditions. I'll be back on March 9th and in the meantime will have very limited phone and internet while we are in the middle of nowhere! All phone calls and emails will be returned then. Then it will be a short week as I'll be back in New England the following weekend to help my gal pal, Leigh Miller shoot a winter wedding in VT! Here are some images from our past Maine trips.
